Membrane Processes

Membrane Processes

  • Introduction

Membrane processes are considered as new separation processes. Nowadays, attentions to these processes due to their advantages over the conventional separation methods in various industries such as chemical, petrochemical, refinery, food and pharmaceutical are growing.

In the Membrane Processes Laboratory, researches on the fabrication of various polymeric membranes for using in the processes such as ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis and pervaporation as well as using of different membrane processes, microfiltration (MF), ultrafiltration (UF), nanofiltration (NF), reverse osmosis (RO), pervaporation (PV), membrane distillation (MD) and osmotic distillation (OD) in various industry processes are performed.
